This is not a resolution

Ok, ok, so I’m back to posting with the turn of a new year.  I can see how this might seem but let me repeat – this is not as a result of a resolution.  The timing is purely coincidental, I promise.  Why the relaunch now you ask?
First I should point out / make the excuse that my hiatus was a much-needed opportunity to acclimate myself to a new job and to take stock in the blog and realize (as is appropriate during Festivus) that I had a lot of problems with it.  So now you’ll note the catchy new tagline at the top and the far less rigid parameters I’ve set up for the thing.  Also, you can look out for an all new skin in the coming weeks – just as soon as I find a free wordpress theme that will download and work properly and that I can edit even remotely with my non-existent HTML skills.  I’ll also be making a commitment to keeping things a little more brief and a little less formal.  The blog does not need to teach the world to sing.  Oh, and I guess the last thing that you’ll find at nitch 2.0 is complete transparency – if that wasn’t already apparent by the previous couple of sentences.  It’s time I started practicing everything I preach.

Wow.  That really does sound like a resolution doesn’t it?  Oh well, welcome to the new nitch!
